The Plains of the Serengeti

T

his is a trip of a life-time! Discover the magic of bygone days when Africa was still wild. serengeti

The Serengeti, located in north Tanzania and extending to southwestern Kenya in east-central Africa, derives its name from the Maasai language and means “endless plains.” This fertile region spans 12,000 square miles (30,000 square kilometers) and is dotted with hills, the remnants of volcanic eruptions millions of years ago.

Your private safari transports you to another world, starting at the foot of Kilimanjaro, a world where herds of wild animals still roam free, where you can walk and talk with the Maasai and where you can discover the origins of man.

During the great migration of the animals, herds of wildebeest and zebras roam the countryside following age-old migration patterns through rivers and plains.
